I'm growing weary of the global warming fad. It's gotten to the point that it's basically a scientific version of the homeless dude in rags, standing in the street screaming about doomsday. No one takes him seriously. I fail to see why the change of attire into a white lab coat or suit with red tie makes the argument anymore convincing.

The Earth is changing. But, there's no reason that the changes have to be abnormal. I didn't check, but I dare say there aren't meteorological records haven't existed except for the last couple hundred years, save for great disasters. The truth is, weather patterns for longer than this time period are largely unknown.

Various regions have hundred year floods. It's not so inconceivable that the Earth would have weather abnormalities every few hundred years or every thousand years.

Really, it's plain stupid and even arrogant to think that humankind could destroy the Earth so easily. The Earth is the largest living organism, very versatile and very capable of preserving itself. I don't mean it's a sentient being like we find In the Final Fantasy movie that had absolutely nothing to do with the games, but I do mean it's alive in the sense that it can adapt and undergo changes.

It's well known that the magnetic poles of the earth jump around every once in a while. It's not so unconceivable that the geographic poles could jump around too. A polar shift could explain the melting ice caps. But heck, what if the Earth is getting warmer from the inside? What if the Sun is getting hotter? What if the entire universe is getting hotter?

There's many unanswered questions and many jumped conclusions. Somehow, I see this episode going the way of the luminiferous aether.

I had a dream and I actually remembered it which is kinda rare. I was at a large resort hotel. One wing of the hotel was controlled by gangs and hip hop type people. They were having a large rave or party on their side of the building. I saw their leader and his posse making their way to the event. They were loading their guns in the bathroom. During the party, the gangs had 'guards' stationed in the centre area of the hotel which connected the two wings. It was kinda a outside lobby and pool type area. However, they were all smoking marijuana and were stoned, so they were easy to slip past.

So, basically, there was a war going on between the two wings of the hotel. There were gunfights in the stairwell. Someone in my group acquired a laser and was able to shoot the enemies dead as they entered the stairwell.

Throughout the hotel, different individuals had rooms that were their own turf. It seemed to be that one could challenge them to a fight for control of their turf.

It all seemed kinda like a game as it's not clear why the two wings were at war.

I must admit, I find at least a couple interesting things nearly
every time I go to Digg. But, there's just a few things that annoy me
about that site. First off, most of the things in the Best Slashdot comment ever apply to Digg as well.

Second,
nearly every time I go to Digg, one of the stories on the main page is
about Bush or Cheney being impeached. Kiddos who nearly piss their
pants in excitement about this stuff need to seriously get a life. I
really don't care about that stuff, I go there looking for geeky
entertainment, not political statements.

Finally, why is it so
bloody hard to find something again on there? Obviously, the site is
always changing, so if you find something and then go back an hour
later for a second look, it's no where to be floggin found. Oh, yeah,
if I poke around enough it turns up, but I'm too busy slash lazy for
that.

It’s been a while. Basically, I go through phases where I don’t know which blog to keep, so I don’t keep any of them.

Traditionally, I used LiveJournal. It’s not only Free Software, but
it’s more less been the choice amongst my kinda people. I starting
moving away from it when it was acquired by Six Apart (same kids that
run Vox). My primary fear was that LiveJournal would be slowly phased
out or put on the backburner.

I’ve never really used Blogger. The only reason I would is because
it’s attached to my Google account. It’s convenient to have the stuff
all bundled up. But honestly, Blogger looks pretty crappy these days
compared to the newer blogging sites.

I jumped onboard Vox because I basically like trying out new Web 2.0
sites and services. Vox has really succeeded in pulling in a more
mature audience. It’s not uncommon to encounter a competent
individual’s blog on Vox. And actually, I’d speculate that the average
age on Vox is probably a bit higher than elsewhere. Vox has really done
well in combining blogging and social networking as I’ve met more
people on Vox than other blogging sites.

Lately, I checked out WordPress. I’ve known about the software a
while, I just recently set up an account though. It has nice themes and
it’s Free Software. One thing I really like is the export feature that
allows one to save their blog locally to a file on disk. It’s nice
insurance incase the site changes or goes away.

I’m leaning towards cross-posting on Vox and WordPress. This way,
I’d maintain contact on Vox, but I’d have everything backed up on
WordPress too.

So ive been absent from vox for a while because of some medical crap i have been dealing with

Anyone wanna give me advice on this....

- First to the physician just for them to tell me i have dermatitis and need to take a steriod pack for eight days

- Finishing steriod pack and the allergic reaction is coming beck so i sceduled a dermatologist appointment instead

- The dermatologist gives be a fungal scapping test which comes back negative, so he takes a biopsy.... puts me on an antibiotic, antihestimine, and another steriod pack of eight days

- Biopsy a week later shows nothing and im given another steriod pack and told to go to an allergist (must stop all medicine to go thru allergy test) So needless to say my arms were extremely itchy for five days from hives

- Allegy test done which all come back negative and still waiting for blood work

- I sleep at my boyfriends house and break out yet again... so now im under the impression i spent all this time and money, because im allergic to his apartment which his roomate constantly turns off the ac leaving it humid and who knows whats growing in there now. LOL. Im just trying to laugh at this situation now, while avoiding the anger i feel about it.

Mold issues maybe? I dont know... anyone have any theories?
